Coɇlaboration Sustainability

Radical changes are needed in the way we produce, consume and socially interact, and helping in bringing change that will contribute in fundamental ways to the development of sustainable consumption and production systems. LeNS and Srishti aimed a great opportunity to bring down key issues through discussion @ the conference . The conference was divided in Design Research , Design Education and Design Practice for Sustainability and each of these theme tackled at four design levels • Sustainable material and energy , • Product design for sustainability, • (Product-Service) System design for sustainability and • Design for social equity and sustainable social innovation. Among the most influential people whose work have been commendable were , Ezio Manzini , Geetha Narayanan , John Thackara , Jyoti Hosagrahar, Ursula Tischner , Lorraine Justice, Mom Rajawongse Disnadda Diskul, Mugendi M’Rithaa , Prabhu Kandachar, Walter Stahel, Yrjö Sotamaa, Zheng Shuyang. with Ursula’s being the most critic and great presentation summing up the idea . It’s wonderful to see how a concept has made every one work towards achieving the same goal but some with sustainable idea and some non sustainable ideas from around the world.
The term sustainability and sustainable development still remains as an increasing currency of unsustainable human activities, and the destruction of global ecosystems and increasing conflicts .Despite with all these efforts to slow down the process, it aint working at the speed at which it should, so let the worse come tomorrow than today by slow consumption and over aspirations.
